1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data collected through this website is BRIPCO Engineering & Services, an engineering firm specialized in electrical design and power system studies.
Our primary operational offices are located in Tamarac, Florida 33319, United States, and Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela. For any inquiries, requests, or to exercise your data protection rights, please contact our privacy team directly at: bripcoes.info@bripcoes.org.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We collect solely the information necessary to address your commercial inquiries and guarantee the operational security of our website, categorized as follows:
Information provided directly by the user: Submitted through our online forms. On the general contact form ("#contacto-form"), we collect your full name, email address, and the detailed contents of your message or engineering inquiry. On the quick subscription form ("#dejanos-email"), we collect exclusively your email address.
Technical and security metadata: When a form is submitted, our systems automatically log: submission timestamp, selected interface language, form identifier, a cryptographically hashed version of your IP address (for anti-abuse and rate limiting), user agent (browser and operating system details), and the risk assessment score issued by Google reCAPTCHA v3.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing
We process personal data in strict compliance with applicable regulations under the following lawful bases:
Responding to inquiries and technical proposals: Managing your requests for information, quotation inquiries, or engineering consulting requirements (Legal basis: taking steps prior to entering into a contract at the request of the data subject or legitimate interest in responding to commercial inquiries).
Informational and technical communications: Delivering insights, technical articles, or updates regarding our engineering capabilities when you have voluntarily subscribed with your email (Legal basis: data subject's explicit consent).
Perimeter security and abuse prevention: Detecting and mitigating malicious traffic, automated attacks, bulk spam, or Denial of Service (DDoS) attempts through rate limiting and reCAPTCHA risk analysis (Legal basis: legitimate interest in maintaining the stability, integrity, and security of our technological infrastructure).
4. Technology Infrastructure, Providers, and International Data Transfers
To deliver high-performance, secure, and globally available web services, BRIPCO relies on internationally recognized technology service providers whose servers and primary data processing centers are located in the United States:
Hosting and Edge Computing (Vercel Inc.): Our website and serverless functions run on the platform of Vercel Inc. (San Francisco, CA, USA), which manages content distribution across its Edge network, processes incoming HTTP requests, and generates technical security server logs.
Cloud Database Storage (MongoDB Atlas): Form submission records and security metadata are persisted in a cloud database operated by MongoDB, Inc. (New York, NY, USA), protected by industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Transactional Email Delivery (Resend Inc.): To promptly notify our engineering team of incoming submissions, our backend uses the transactional API of Resend Inc. (San Francisco, CA, USA), acting as a data processor for electronic dispatch.
Corporate Mailbox Management on Google (Google Workspace / Google LLC): Notifications routed through Resend are delivered to, handled in, and archived on BRIPCO corporate inboxes hosted on Google Workspace infrastructure (Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA). In addition, we deploy Google reCAPTCHA v3 to verify that requests originate from human users rather than automated scripts.
Legal Implications and International Data Transfers: This operational workflow inevitably requires transferring, processing, and storing personal information on servers located in the United States. For users accessing our site from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or jurisdictions with GDPR-equivalent protections, these transfers are conducted under European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), applicable international adequacy frameworks (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where certified), and Data Processing Addendums (DPAs) ensuring an adequate level of data protection and confidentiality.
5. Data Retention Periods
We retain personal data strictly for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purposes:
Contact submissions and inquiries are retained for the duration needed to resolve the commercial query or manage the business relationship, or until the data subject requests deletion.
Security metadata (such as IP hashes and reCAPTCHA verification scores) stored in MongoDB is held for limited retention windows exclusively to prevent repetitive attacks and verify submission authenticity.
Technical access logs on Vercel and Google servers are managed in accordance with each provider's standard security retention schedules.
6. User Rights and Contact
Under applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR where applicable), you are entitled to exercise the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access: Request confirmation of whether we process your data and receive a copy thereof.
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Erasure ("Right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer required for its original purpose.
Restriction and Objection: Request restriction of processing or object to data handling under circumstances provided by law.
Data Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Consent Withdrawal: Revoke your consent for informational communications at any time without retroactive impact.
To exercise any of these rights, please submit a written communication detailing your identity and request to: bripcoes.info@bripcoes.org. We will respond within the statutory timeframes provided by applicable legislation.
